Release: Josh Welle Decries Rep. Chris Smith's Inaction on Family Separation Policy

Josh Welle, the Afghanistan veteran who is running to unseat Chris Smith in NJ-04 is calling on Smith to stand up for human rights and public safety by supporting #FamiliesBelongTogether activists.

"During Josh's most recent listening tour, he met with hundreds of constituents throughout Monmouth, Ocean, and Mercer counties about important issues," said Welle Campaign spokesperson, Nathan Cornell. "The crisis happening at the border was at the forefront of people's concerns. If the Congressman actually spoke to his constituents as much as he claims, he would know that a two-sentence sound bite is insufficient in solving this crisis".

Welle adds, "We must see an immediate, proactive response to this crisis. Smith should be accessible to his constituents and ready to explain why he, alongside Congressional Republicans are not advancing American ideals. I sincerely hope the Congressman makes his constituents a priority by attending the rally on June 30th."

The local #FamiliesBelongTogether rally will take place on Saturday, June 30th at 11am in Riverside Gardens Park in Red Bank.
